What is TS.02/Tt clinically proven to do?
TS.02 / Tt has undergone years of clinical trials to increase hair's tensile strength, smooth, detangle, anti-static, and help reduce fall-out.
Is TS.02/Tt a bond builder?
TS.02 / Tt does perform structural rebonding on both hydrogen and disulfide bonds, but it also does so much more. It focuses on increasing the overall tensile strength through bond building but what’s unique about FILAMENT is that is also helps promote keratin development from within by adding cysteine to the hair, the precursor to keratin, so no additional proteins or keratins are added. This means you cannot “overuse” the product and it will not over-proteinize the hair. TS.02/Tt is also clinically proven to detangle, reduce frizz and static, smooth, and reduce mechanical damage in the hair.
There are many threats to tensile strength and it’s important to preserve your hair’s healthy biome with products that chemically build up your hair’s Tensile Strength. Low Tensile Strength is the cause of damaged, unhealthy, and broken hair.
Does TS.02 / Tt contain protein or keratin?
No. TS.02 / Tt does not add external keratin or protein, which can build up, stiffen hair,
and contribute to breakage.
Instead, it supports the hair’s natural strength from within its own structure.
Will it make hair feel stiff or heavy and can I “overuse” it?
No. TS.02 / Tt is designed to strengthen without stiffness or weight and TS.02/Tt cannot be overused as it does not add any additional protein or external keratin into the hair. Hair remains flexible, smooth, and manageable.
TS.02/Tt is safe to sleep in overnight even!
What is the difference between the PRO version and the RETAIL version?
YES.
TS.02/Tt is a complete system that is designed for use both in salon and at home by your clients.
The PRO version has twice the concentration of TENSILYX, our proprietary ingredient structure and molecule...as well as an optimized texture for salon use.
The retail version of TS.02/Tt is what you sell to your client for at-home maintenance in between services, and is a different formula and concentration.
What shampoo should I use with FILAMENT?
You can use whichever shampoo you'd like - there are no interactions or issues with shampoo and FILAMENT.
You may want to consider doing a chelating or clarifying shampoo, pending the state of your client's hair and her build-up on scalp and hair.
Be sure to thoroughly wash the hair, twice if needed to ensure even distribution of TS.02/Tt on hair.
Can I use FILAMENT with other bond builders at the same time?
Yes, FILAMENT is designed with using other products in mind and we play very nicely with everyone! You can still use other products you like in your treatment routine that may seem competitive to FILAMENT, as TS.02/Tt does many other things outside of bond-building that competitive products cannot achieve.
Why is the product called TS.02/Tt?
FILAMENT SCIENCES uses a distinct nomenclature to name our products. Each letter and number pattern correspond to specific attributes of the product.
Naming Convention:
- First two letters = Product Benefit
- Number = step in the care routine the product is used.
- Last two letters = First and last letter of the product type
In the case of TS.02 / Tt:
TS = Tensile Strength
02 = Indicates the second step in your care process (applied after Shampoo)
Tt = Treatment as the product type
